This Weeks Class Discussion

What a week! I really really enjoyed this weeks discussion and brought it up multiple times to a lot of my roommates, family and friends. Even my boyfriend! It was a good discussion to have together and it was something that it is important to me. So here it is. We talked about parents relationship with their kids and the roles that are played and can be played in the family. When we think of family we think of a mom and a dad and kids as they come along. In the olden days, the woman stayed home doing the cooking and cleaning while the man went to work. The kids played outside and all was right in the world. But now days, maybe the woman will be the one at work all day while the man was at home taking care of the kids and holding down the fort so to speak? Every family dynamic is different and what works for some people might not work for others. One thing that we talked about was nannies. Having a nanny help around the house works for some families and might be necessary if...

Week 2 Friends!!

This week was actually very interesting to me. At first when I read through all the stuff we had to read I was a little confused by what all was going on but then reading over it again and more thoroughly it made more sense. When people read things on the internet, they want to believe its true. But we’ve all heard the saying, “don’t believe everything on the internet.” There is way too much out there with controversial things and everyone and their moms opinions all over the place so its impossible for everything on the internet to be true. That’s why doing your part in the research is so necessary. The case study we read over and looked at was so fascinating to me. The fact that with most research papers they have evidence and comparison groups it makes them more believable. But after our talk in class particularly with this case study my eyes have been opened and I have a new perspective when it comes to studies and research papers. The APA brought forward a brief to the...

About Me

Image
My name is Jana Hardy and I am just your basic white girl. I am about as average as they come. But lets start at the beginning. I was born in Stuttgart, Germany. My dad was in the military and was born on an army base so I can still run for president. Unfortunately, I do not have duel citizenship, thanks for asking though.      I am the third child in my family. I have two older sisters with one younger sister and a younger brother. My parents have been happily married for almost 30 years.      With my siblings, all of our names start with the letter 'J'. Jacki is the oldest. She has been living in Oregon for the last 4 years and is planning on marrying her girlfriend, Kailyn, in April this year. Joselyn is the next oldest sister. She has been married to her husband, Jacob, for 6 years and they have 2 girls with a little boy joining them in February. Jenni is my younger sister who is ...
